Best associations with French
Wines ?
Wines
Dry white wine : Seafood, Shellfish, Fishes.
Muscadet is the perfect wine for Gambas, Shrimps. But try it with sushis
or oysters.
Medium dry white wine : Fishes in Sauce, Salads, Thai Food, White meat.
Rosé : Salads, cold cuts, fishes, Spicy food. Rosé is the
best wine with Pizza.
Red wine : Cold cuts, Mixed salads, White and Red meat, Poultries.
You will enjoy it with Chicken and Duck. All meats with sauce, Gratins.
And if you’re having cheese, don’t hesitate: all red wines
are perfect.
Thai cooking
Most Thai cooking is spicy so it is sometimes difficult to apply general
principles.
But some associations are delicious : with all curries, serve Sweet White
wines as "Côteaux du Layon" or "Chaumes".
For "Garlic and Pepper" : "Graves" or "Médoc"
are ideal wines. But you can try a "Rosé de Loire" especially
for shrimps. A Muscadet will enhance a Garlic and Pepper Squid.
"Sweet and Sour" : Do not hesitate to open a bottle of "Cabernet
d'Anjou" for shrimps or fish. And a "Chinon" for pork or
beef.
BBQ : with Fish, a "Muscadet" is recommended, and for Spare
ribs, Pork, Chicken or Duck a "Vin de Bordeaux" will never disappoint
you - "Graves", "Médoc", "Haut-Médoc"
or "Saint Emilion".
